While Teenage Fanclub and Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci were criminally underrated in the last 10 years, musicphiles regard them as indie-pop masters, much like the Clean or more recently, the New Pornographers. Enter Jonny: a collaborative effort between Teenage Fanclub’s Norman Blake and Gorky’s Euros Childs, whose self-titled debut exhibits those same pop sentiments. Highlighted below is “Goldmine,” a thoughtful little ditty about obsessing over a girl.
