Since his days in American Analog Set, Andrew Kenny has excelled in pairing intimate guitars with whispery vocals. With his latest band the Wooden Birds, we still find those moments of warmth and introspection, but with a bit more twang these days. “Two Matchsticks” is the title track from the Wooden Birds sophomore set, an intimate 12-song album that features mostly duets between Kenny and the Birds’ Leslie Sisson. Perfect for summer days and lemonade.
