Exclusive Video: Day in the Life With Tennis

Last month, Hive traveled to Baltimore to spend some time aboard the Swift Ranger, the sailboat that housed and inspired Colorado indie-pop group Tennis. After sailing up and down the Eastern Seaboard for eight months, husband and wife team Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore returned to land to record Cape Dory, the band’s ’60s-inspired debut album that doubles as a journal of their nautical experiences. They’ve once again returned to the high seas for inspiration on their follow-up, which they’ll start recording shortly. Check out a day in the life of Tennis and learn which member can’t swim, why the band’s instruments will never be on the boat and why most rock stars would make good sailors.
