DJ Ayres Celebrates the Career of Mannie Fresh

Catching Mannie Fresh live isn’t something that happens too often. In preparation for a rare New York appearance this weekend, he’s hosting Cats, Snakes, Chickens, Ducks, Elderly People & Twerkers, a mixtape compiled by DJ Ayres to preview the event. Live, Mannie hones in on a mix of soul, funk, and New Jack Swing (thankfully) so naturally, Ayres, goes the opposite direction with this thirty-minute mix, chock full of rap bangers that celebrates the span of Mannie’s career. Early Juvenile productions [remember him?], Big Tymers tracks, Ca$h Money hits, T.I. and Slim Thug remixes, Gucci Mane collabs and Lil Wayne highlights the set; if Mannie Fresh won’t play Mannie Fresh at his show, DJ Ayres will.
