With legions of bands marching under the “indie-pop” banner, it gets hard to tell which are actually of merit. But we’re confident in Ohio’s Walk the Moon, who opened our recent Live in NYC concert at CMJ. Yes, they like to brighten their faces with pastel shades of warpaint, but watch these performances of “Anna Sun” and “Tightrope” and you’ll see why a catchy hook and a little bit of enthusiasm still go along way.
