Alternate versions of Jamie xx, Anstam and Nathan Fake‘s tracks for Radiohead‘s King of Limbs remix series were unveiled today via the band’s website. Previous entries were released earlier this summer, available both as downloads and through independent record shops on limited edition 12″ vinyl. According to Radiohead’s website, these three were apparently finished too late to be included as vinyl releases, but these bonus renditions of “Bloom,” “Separator,” and “Morning Mr Magpie” are still a worthy addition to the series despite a lack of physical representation. “Morning Mr Magpie” is the real standout, with Nathan Fake latching on to Thom Yorke’s ambiguous accusation, “You’ve got some nerve coming in,” before he renders it feeble behind a swarm of metallic beats.
All three tracks will be available Monday via Radiohead’s own website, but for now you can stream them here. The remixes are accompanied by the announcement of five new tour dates in Italy and Germany, listed below. All tickets are available on Radiohead’s website.
