Canadian multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/producer Owen Pallett’s never been shy about his geeky side. His musical project was originally known as Final Fantasy, after the Japanese role-playing video game of the same name. He’s borrowed and incorporated music from Super Mario Brothers 3. And from a Tweet last week, he’s now continuing that tradition by combining a love for the (Japanese-based) Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Japanese performance art of dressing up like different characters and a (newfound?) appreciation for Chris Martin songs.
