Craigslist is great for finding dates, concert tickets, jobs, sex, housing and even song titles. Yes, Brian Harding of Brooklyn’s Ex Cops saw a post offering up ‘broken chinese chairz’ and decided that it was a song. “I just kept staring at that heading,” he recalls. “So brilliant. [But] the subject matter is something you’ll have to take for yourself.”

Harding’s assembled Ex Cops as a rotating five-piece, anchored by Dan Shapiro and Amalie Bruun. “Chairz” recalls a little Luna or Yuck, if Luna or Yuck were on speed and had an airy female vocalist. Ex Cops are closing in on a record deal, but they plan to record and release a full length this Spring. Until then, revel in this great Craigslist-inspired song.
