It’s harder to praise an artist for how much they’ve done in a year once you reach April (spring’s almost here!), but Curren$y has just announced his fourth project in as many months in 2012 (count ‘em: the curt Here EP, instrumental album Muscle Car Chronicles, and his joint mixtape with Styles P). Today, Spitta announced that the poetically titled The Stoned Immaculate will arrive June 5th on Warner Bros. Along with the news comes first single “What It Look Like” featuring Wale, where the pair namedrop Ginger from Gilligan’s Island, Dulles Airport and New York Jets’ coach Rex Ryan. Sonically, it doesn’t stray far from his time-tested formula of softly layered jazz instrumentals and faded braggadocio. With a summer tour wrapped around the release of the album, it doesn’t seem like Spitta is going to have any vacations in the foreseeable future.
