Jack White’s Post-Apocalyptic Video for “Sixteen Saltines”

Directed by AG Rojas, the second video from Jack White’s upcoming solo album Blunderbluss, “Sixteen Saltines,” couldn’t be more different than the first. For “Love Interruption,” White sang into a vintage microphone with singer Ruby Amanfu to create a tender acoustic experience, whereas “Sixteen Saltines,” plays out in complete chaos. Think Hunger Games, but with soulless, mini zef Ninjas inciting hysteria smack dab in the heart of Middle America (kids going wild is a big video trend). Amputated fingers, supernatural dancers, blue puke and an attempted suicide all lead up to a writhing White in the back seat of a gasoline-soaked Oldsmobile, before the triumphant drop of a Zippo by an innocent kid turned blue savage.
