Hot Chip dished out their latest funk with “Night and Day,” the second song to emerge from their upcoming album In Our Heads (out June 12). Looking like the radio single from the album (the more abstract “Flutes” is also floating around), “Night and Day” is dramatic disco at its finest, gooey bass riffs and all. Upon closer listen, the song touches on good old-fashioned lust and the looping frustrations of trying to romantically connect with somebody who isn’t interested. Nerds and other unrequited lovers take note: If your plans for summer promiscuity go awry, consider this your anthem. Stream “Night and Day” below:
