To celebrate their upcoming tour, electro-pop duo YACHT have released a new song and video — a cover of avant-garde French artist Brigitte Fontaine’s “Le Goudron.” Like a lot of what YACHT does, the song is driven by dark and sexy synths; YACHT vocalist Claire L. Evans puts a sultry disco-spin on a song that was originally recorded in 1969, when Fontaine was joined by avant-jazz powerhouse institution, the Art Ensemble of Chicago. But even more impressive: Evans’ French is quite good!
