It’s been nearly four years since Swedish indie pop band Melpo Mene made a splash with Bring the Lions Out, and their sunny disposition hasn’t waned. “We Should Be Walking” opens with a burst of pep with fast, jangly electric guitar, before mellowing out quickly for the verse. While we’re not sure if the song’s simply about the perils of motor transportation or there’s larger issues at stake, but one thing’s for sure: Melpo Mene’s writes a catchy hook, one that’s suitable for much more than merely strolling.
