Though we’ve never thought that seeing the Black Keys dressed up in bunny pajamas wandering around a desolate suburban landscape would bring us joy, their new video for “Gold on the Ceiling” does just that. Directed by avant-garde filmmaker Harmony Korine (Julien Donkey-Boy, Trash Humpers) the video finds Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney creeping out with Dan and Patrick masks, sad-looking balloons and odd song dropouts. Without Korine’s name attached to it, you’d think it was a fan-made spot uploaded to YouTube by some Black-Keys-as-babies-fan-fiction author.
