Over the weekend MTV premiered the new Joey Bada$$’ video for “Waves.” The video documents what appears to be a normal day for Bada$$ and his Progressive Era crew: an early rise at 6:30 am for class during the day followed by an evening of lounging and performing, navigating the city by subway and skateboarding. Clichéd shots of rooftop rapping are of course included — it’s all part of the standard New York City come up.
