Download 50 Cent’s New ’5: Murder By Numbers’ Mixtape

The curious case of 50 Cent’s music career — as opposed to his full-time stint as a professional Twitter flirt — continues with today’s release of a new 10-track mixtape called 5: Murder By Numbers. He originally announced the project as a studio album, then threw a fit on Twitter and told his fans he wouldn’t be releasing it at all, before changing his mind and dropping it for free, complete with cover art either depicting the rapper as a kid or his son draped in G-Unit clothing.

As for the actual music? It shares much in common with The Lost Tape, 50′s last mixtape, which most saw as something of a return to his early street-centered sound and features guest spots from ScHoolboy Q, Kidd Kidd, and production from Havoc and Hit Boy. With his final Interscope album now being pushed back until November we’re thinking this won’t be the only 50 freebie this summer. [Download 5: Murder By Numbers here.]
