Brooklyn sass-rock band Friends turned heads last summer with infectious dance-rock number “I’m His Girl,” the group’s first single. Out of the gate, the song showcased Samantha Urbani’s sugary vocals within a heavy percussive context. The band recently followed up on that formula with Manifest!, their 12-song debut released in June. This past March, during SXSW 2012 in Austin, Texas, Friends taped this exclusive version of “I’m His Girl” for MTV’s PUSH Live series. And you wouldn’t be wrong in thinking that it might be nice to be friends with this gang.
