The last we heard from experimental producer Flying Lotus was 2010′s multifaceted Cosmogramma, which dabbled in jazz, oceanic dance rhythms, and twitchy EDM. In subsequent interviews, FlyLo admitted he felt restless during its recording, due in part to the passing of his mother. It seems the producer has found some sort of peace, if his new single is an indication. Released today (after a minute-long preview leaked a week ago), “See Thru to U” is the first single from his forthcoming album, Until the Quiet Comes, which is scheduled for a 10/2 release. Here, guest singer Erykah Badu offers ambient vocals, making good use of tribal drums and shakers.
