Have you missed your daily dose of Weezy F. Baby recently? Fear no more, as the part-time rapper and now full-time skateboard fanatic has dropped a new freebie mixtape, Dedication 4. Clocking in at a restrained 16 tracks, the tape sees Lil Wayne and producer DJ Drama hopping on songs with Young Jeezy, Birdman, J. Cole and 13-year-old Chicago rap tyke Lil’ Mouse. The project also showcases Wayne and his Young Money rapstress Nicki Minaj spitting over Kanye West‘s “Mercy” track, complete with Ms. Minaj suggesting that she’ll join the growing list of rappers against Obama and vote for Mitt Romney in the upcoming election. (“I’m a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney/ You lazy bitches is fuckin’ up the economy,” is the couplet currently raising eyebrows.) For his part, Weezy’s content to drop the phrase “skate rap” and at one point declares, “Fuck y’all I’d rather skate.” Any other time, we’d be content to read deep into this, but clearly it’s Nicki’s turn in the spotlight.
