Happy belated Trap Holiday! For those still too caught up celebrating Rick Ross black bar mitzvah to have noticed, yesterday was the official trap holiday — at least according to trap rap’s patron saint Gucci Mane. Taking to Twitter to declare this new addition to the festive calendar, Gucci explained, “10/17 is a trap holiday. All traps will be closed.” To usher in this exciting new Pyrex-hued season, Gucci dropped the 20-track Trap God mixtape last night, which features fellow trap disciples Rick Ross (“Head Shots”), Waka Flocka Flame (“Crazy”) and Future (“Fuck the World”), while T-Pain brings his caroling skills to “Act Up.” No news yet as to whether or not Gucci celebrated the inaugural Trap Holiday with a new piece of ink.
