CMJ 2012 Saturday: Fader Fort and Fool’s Gold Anniversary Party

Between the Fader Fort and Fool’s Gold Anniversary Party, the CMJ Music Marathon ended Saturday on a thunderous note. Chairlift and secret guests Divine Fits headlined the Fader Fort, closing out four straight days of music at new Brooklyn venue Rubber Tracks. The line around the Music Hall of Williamsburg for the Fool’s Gold party could have filled the venue several times, with anxious fans hoping to catch a lineup that included Nick Catchdubs, Troy Ave, Ghostface Killah, A-Trak and Flosstradamus. According to Hive photographer Loren Wohl (and subsequently confirmed by Sammy Bananas on Twitter), the highlight of the night was when a hardcore Wu-Tang fan joined Ghostface on stage to spit ODB’s part on “Protect Ya Neck,” nailing the verse down to the inflections.
