Brooklyn musician Matty Fasano has been quietly releasing minimalist, introspective piano pop over the last two years (see/hear his Living in Armchairs EP for a quick primer) and his new single “Muzzle You” continues down the same path. But don’t let the quietude fool you — it a sharp declaration of intent; prickly sentiments wrapped in silk. “[The song] is about people who can’t say what they mean, who don’t want to say what they mean, and who never will,” Fasano tells Hive. “It’s a frustrated song about frustrating people.” It sounds like it’d be quite lovely to have Fasano pissed at you.
