Destiny’s Child, Arrested Development, Justin Timberlake(‘s fedora): 2013 is quickly becoming The Year of the Comeback. But nothing could have prepared us for the best comeback news of all: The return of David Bowie. The musician quietly released a new song on Tuesday and announced his first album in a decade, The Next Day. It was a complete surprise, especially since Bowie seemed content to spend his retirement out of the spotlight.

So we know Bowie was recording in secret, but what else has the Thin White Duke (or, Ziggy Stardust, or Aladdin Sane, or just plain old David Jones) been up to the last 10 years? See below:
