It seems Oh No’s new album Disrupted Ads is all about driving beats and hard rhymes, if “Rollin’ Up” is an indication. “The inspiration behind this track came from a game on Vectrex called MineStorm,” Oh No tells Hive. “I felt like bringing that kind of tone with a smoked-out electronic West Coast vibe to it.” Over a menacing groove, Oh No and Alchemist (who collectively are known as Gangrene) lament “lame ass hoes” and the perils of street life. ”If played at its maximum volume the people will gain pissed off neighbors, neck injuries, insomnia, bloody knuckles and amnesia.” Which actually sounds like a day-in-the-life for a MineStorm addict.
