It’s refreshing when bands decide to keep things simple. And in some cases, like on Chalk and Numbers‘ new single “Boy,” it sounds downright fantastic. “It’s an intentional nod to the most used subject in music/pop writing, the boy/girl love song,” says the duo’s Andrew Pierce. “More specifically, its about realizing you like someone. We just wanted to be fun and obvious about it.” Obvious sure, but pretty much perfection, too.
