My Bloody Valentine caused the Internet to rupture this past weekend as the Ireland-based band released mbv, their long-awaited follow-up to their 1991 classic shoegaze album Loveless. Announcing the news via Facebook, the band’s website duly crashed as fans attempted to cop the project while the Twitterverse lit up with witticisms about surprise announcement.
