If you’ve ever assumed that touring life is much like a long vacation, Athens, Ga.’s Dead Confederate are here to confirm those suspicions. On their new track, aptly called “Vacations,” the dirge-rock band returns in fine form, exploring life in a band and “being in it for the long haul.”
“We’ve been making music together for a while and sometimes you think you need a break, so you’ll chill out for a couple weeks,” says Dead Confederate frontman Hardy Morris. “And then all you want to do is play and tour. Tour is perpetual vacation.”
