Ishi Want You to Break Out of Mediocrity on “Mother Prism”

Dallas synth trio Ishi say their new song “Mother Prism” is about our disconnected culture as well as a statement-of-purpose for band itself. It’s a mantra, if you will. “The song is about encouragement to break out from the mediocrity of the day and to be able to discover the sparks of life through a smile, laugh, your neighbor or whatever shape it comes,” explains Ishi’s John Mudd. “The theme of ‘Mother Prism’ [exists] throughout the makeup of the band, but what really sets this song apart is the instant connection and [desire] to be one with crowd.”
