With Interactive 2013, Mick Boogie and Tristan Walker successfully make their way to the apex of music technology nerdery. On this mix, the DJs tapped leaders in the tech and entrepreneurial spaces to curate the twenty-four tracks. Judging by the results, it seems these ambitious techies have a thing for the hustle of hip-hop. Some of our favorites include Tyler Gray of Fast Company’s choice of Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle,” and social media kingpin Gary Vaynerchuck’s selection of Jay-Z and Biggie’s “I Love The Dough.” (Because in a world of API’s and SEO, everyone could use some B.I.G.) There are some sweet rock selections along the way, too, including LCD Soundsystems’ “Dance Yrself Clean” and Tears for Fears “Mad World.” Make way for the future of crowdsourced DJ sets, you guys.
